The article contains the results of a scientific task in the main author´s research to obtain the academic title Master of Education. The objective is to elaborate a methodology for the treatment of heuristic procedures in the teaching-learning process of the subject Mathematics in sixth grade of Primary education. The research is a qualitative one, and follows the hermeneutic research paradigm, with a bibliographic and descriptive design, supported by methods of the theoretical level: documentary analysis, analytic-synthetic, inductive-deductive, hermeneutic-dialectic, modeling and systemic-structural-functional. The techniques used for information processing and analysis were descriptive analysis and analytical discussion. The methodology elaborated is to be applied in the teaching-learning process of the subject Mathematics in sixth grade of Primary education. It makes possible the didactic preparation of teachers to structure methodologically the typical situations of Mathematics teaching (elaboration of concepts and their definitions, elaboration of procedures, elaboration of relations, elaboration of propositions and their argumentation, and problem solving), using as a way the tools of the Heuristic Instruction of Mathematics (principles, rules, impulses, heuristic strategies and auxiliary heuristic means) through the use of the General Heuristic Program, on the basis of the partial phases, stages and procedures of realization, which favors the development of students ability to solve mathematical problems.
