Abstract

This work is the result of a research that has been carried out in the first year of the Spanish-Literature Major, of the University of Granma. It responds to a current problem of the teaching-learning process of the mother tongue, related with the insufficiencies in the didactic treatment of the extensive reading, from the textual linguistics and the analysis of the linguistic means, for the understanding of the texts. In the article the authors offer an articulate vision of some contents of the textual linguistics as a way of analysis to develop the readings, starting from activities that for the application in a concrete text will allow to pay special attention to what the text says and how it is been said, in order to make a very careful extensive reading, guided by the confrontation to the text and its interpretation, until arriving to the global comprehension of the text.
