Cognitive independence as a quality of the students majoring in Pedagogy-Psychology.

Abstract

The article is based on an investigation aimed at showing a methodology designed for structuring the students´ independent activity in a subject of the Pedagogy-Psychology career. The methodology is structured departing from a system of tasks of independent work of a varied nature, different and sufficient for the students to accomplish the requirements of developing teaching-learning process to foster the students’ independence and creativity. For designing the methodology different theoretical, empirical and statistical-mathematical methods were used. The methodology was applied during three academic years and the results obtained reveal the importance of improving the students’ professional training.
