The Process of Educational Category in the Cuban Universities. How to Develop the Critical Exposition on a Discipline Program? (Original)

Abstract

The objective of the article is to propose a way to develop the dissertation or critical exposition on a discipline program, which is one of the exercises to be carried out by every university professor who is going to opt for the category of Full Professor, the maximum condition of the established scale for Cuban higher education. Throughout it, the main aspects to take into account when preparing and executing a presentation are explained and exemplified. To illustrate these aspects, the Higher Mathematics discipline was selected for the Civil Engineering career. It was concluded that it is very important to discern the components of a teaching discipline to achieve an effective dissertation or critical exposition on its deficiencies and to propose ways to improve them.
