Abstract

The objective of this article is to analyze the challenges of the left in Latin America in the third decade of the 21st century, conditioned by the world in transition. The accent is placed on the organization factor, an aspect without which the triumph will not be achieved. The review of the updated bibliography of intellectuals and progressive and revolutionary actors allows us to consider that the objective conditions are favorable for organizations and leaders committed to the majority of the people to obtain political power, based on designing the most convenient strategies. This circumstance determines that the left must concentrate the fight against the neoliberal ideology and its failures on the socioeconomic level. At the same time, alliance policies are necessary, when the method of accessing political power is through electoral processes. The birth of new left forces in Latin America emerged, both in the necessary critique of the dire consequences of the power exercised by the elites of neoliberal capitalism and the abandonment of the masses. The triumph of left-wing parties and coalitions that took place in Latin America in the first two decades of the 21st century, has been overtaken by a shift to the right after costly defeats. In the theoretical and practical order, the forces of the indigenous, peasants, trade unions, etc., are incorporated with their power of pressure. It has been shown that there are conditions for a promising new stage for the left.
