Dual Education, a training model at the service of job placement in university students (Original)

Dual Education is presented as an innovative training model that integrates academic education with practical experience in companies, with the purpose of improving the labor market insertion of university students. This research highlights the importance of this model in the Latin American context, particularly in Ecuador, and its impact on the professional preparation of graduates. The main objective of the study was to analyze how Dual Education contributes to the employability of university students through collaboration between universities and companies. A descriptive and analytical methodology was employed, based on bibliographic review, expert interviews and surveys to students and companies participating in dual education programs. The main results revealed that students who participated in dual education programs had a higher employability rate compared to those who did not receive practical training. In addition, it was identified that this model facilitates the acquisition of technical skills and professional competencies aligned with the needs of the labor market. The most relevant conclusion indicates that Dual Education represents a key tool to improve the training of students and their transition to the labor market, although its implementation faces challenges that require joint work between educational institutions, companies and public policies.
