Treatment and attention to students with learning situations in rural schools (Original)

The Cuban social project reveals the responsibility of education to serve schoolchildren in rural schools; that is why the article addresses some theoretical, methodological and practical assumptions regarding the attention to schoolchildren with special educational needs, associated with disabilities in this context. Hence, it is proposed as an objective: to present the results of the study carried out on the preparation of rural primary school teachers, referring to the attention of schoolchildren with special educational needs associated with disabilities, which offers greater possibilities in the current transformations of education in Cuba. The use of action research; as well as, the use of different theoretical and empirical research methods, the development of scientific workshops and seminars, represent the work deployed from Research Project the social and educational inclusion of children, adolescents and young people with special educational needs associated with disabilities through Special Education in the province of Santiago de Cuba. Where the main results revealed in its implementation, the development of educational care modalities that promote learning opportunities for all, in the teaching-learning process, with the required attention to diversity through the consolidation of the model of education and inclusive care, with an evident improvement in this process of the schoolchildren from this type of school in the Santiago de Cuba province.
