The development of the intrapersonal self-knowledge ability on boys and girls with low intellectual disability (Original)

Abstract

In the Special School "Carlos Rodríguez Careaga", more specifically in the psychopedagogical attention; there is no evidence of adequate treatment of the development of intrapersonal self-knowledge in the students with mild intellectual disability; what brings about that a correct social independence is not achieved. The present article was the search for options to achieve the development of intrapersonal skills-self-knowledge in students with a diagnosis of Mild Intellectual Disability. The objective of this research is to: Implement psychopedagogical sessions for the development of intrapersonal skills - self-knowledge in students with a diagnosis of mild intellectual disability; sustained from the psychopedagogical and psychological identification process. Once the main objective of this research has been achieved, it will be possible to see results that, in turn, will have positive effects in social and school areas; all of which is considered of vital importance in the development of students for full social independence.
