Abstract

With the purpose of contributing to the development of the professional motivation in the Agronomy students, some alternative sustainable technologies were implemented in the urban agriculture, so a research was carried out in the National Reference Experimental Area “Las Delicias” located at CPA "Carlos Manuel de Céspedes" in Bayamo, Granma province, on an experimental design thoroughly randomized, with the objective of assessing its effect on six (6) association schemes and four (4) mono-cultivations for four different cultivation species during the two seasons, taking as criteria biologic efficiency indicators such as yield, associations, and the soil equivalent index. The results showed that a positive effect in the association schemes for the combination of the four cultivations was found, and this proved its biological efficiency during winter and spring.

This work offers a way to encourage students towards the researching component through the integrating tasks intended in their syllabus from the 1st to the 3rd year in the polytechnic school.
