Due to the cloistered values, care for the elderly is a priority in Cuba today, the aging of the population is a real fact and for this, measures are taken to facilitate their well-being. The incorporation of the elderly to University Chairs has been a worthy proposal for this endeavor. The study of the psychological bases of memory behavior in the field of human aging is essential to promote learning in geroeducates and achieve a better quality of life. The article aims to train the geroeducates of the University Branch of the Elderly (FUAM) of Jiguaní in this regard and propose a system of activities for their stimulation. The main elements in the study include the most current generalities about the psychological bases of the development of human memory and the factors that condition it. From these elements the fundamental characteristics of the Jiguanico geroeducandos were evaluated. The main problems detected were: insufficiencies in the stimulation of the psychological processes of the elderly, which limits their memory performance and cognitive progress in geroeducates. The investigation reveals as a praxiological construct the system of activities that has been developed in the Jiguaní municipality with satisfactory results. It is concluded that as a result of the research, the geroeducates acquired the necessary knowledge to stimulate memory.
