Exercises to favor the assimilation of concepts in the unit "Ionic Balance" (Original)

Science teaching should help students achieve a high degree of instruction and understanding of the world in which they live; that manages to perceive, feel, think; that contributes to understanding the rapid changes derived from its development and proceeds in a way that faces the challenges imposed by today's world. For this reason, teaching today aims to increase the volume of concepts, and the task of the school becomes to train in students the ability to independently and creatively assimilate this new scientific knowledge. In order to perfect this process in the subject of Chemistry, this teaching material is presented, which consists of the elaboration of a system of exercises that respond to a current problem of the teaching-learning process of Pre-University Education. For this, theoretical, empirical and statistical methods were used. The scientific novelty lies in the fact that the proposal agglomerates exercises of different levels of assimilation, where items are used and the link with the social context and practical life that do not appear in the texts of the subject and that allow the assimilation of concepts and its definitions related to the chemical content of Ionic Balance in 11th grade students who opt for the profile of Natural Sciences teachers. Precisely this system of exercises is the practical contribution of the research, and was evaluated from the pedagogical pre-experiment.
