Abstract

The preparation of the new generations requires planning, executing and evaluating the teaching process, from a current perspective, where the use of appropriate methods is required to meet the requirements demanded by self-learning. The objective of this investigation is to appraise the results of application a methodological alternative aimed at the preparation of students of the basic biomedical sciences of the medical career, for the teaching of the contents of the subject Ontogeny and Osteomyoarticular System with an integrative approach. A development investigation was carried out where 100% of the students enrolled in the aforementioned subject in the first year of the medical career and 18 teachers from the department of Morphological Sciences in the Faculty of Medical Sciences Celia Sánchez Manduley of Manzanillo in the academic years 20018-2020. Theoretical methods were used to collect the data such as logical historical analysis, inductive - deductive, analytical - synthetic, systemic and modeling; the empirical methods were the observation, surveys, interviews, document analysis and expert judgment; statistical methods such as frequency analysis, percentage calculation and Kendall's coefficient. A methodological alternative was designed aimed at preparing students for the basic biomedical sciences for the medical career. The results express that the level of preparation of the students was affected, since most of the values obtained in relation to the dimensions are low in all the subjects-indicators.
