Abstract

With the objective of contributing to increase the rice cultivation yield through the use of inorganic sources of fertilization with minimum of expenses and contamination, two experiments were developed. In the laboratory experiment, the effect of ashes coming from the sugar industry was evaluated in the germination and in the first stages of the rice cultivation growth in 10 varieties. A design was utilized randomized with 5 repetitions and to the compiled data were applied a simple analysis of variance and Multiples of Tukey tries of Range. Results were submitted to Hierarchic Conglomerado's Multivariate Analysis of complete tying, on the basis of Distancia Euclidiana's womb, for the sake of delimiting groups of varieties on the basis of the levels of answer to the application of ash as a result of the combustion of the waste pulp of cane. The results allow the formation of five g roups that characterize the varieties in bigger, intermediate and smaller answer to the application of ashes during the first stages of growth. It was demonstrated that a significant lineal and positive dependence exists between the doses of ashes and the evaluated variables. The ashes didn't produce any effect in the germination variable.
