In cycling, the height of the saddle modifies the mechanical work of the joints of the lower limbs and alters the efficiency of pedaling. It is a bit difficult to have or carry out a study dynamically in the field on the position of the cyclist, so it is ideal to carry out a study in a dynamic but static way using cycling simulators in which movements generated by the breeze or balance are not allowed, static evaluations (that is, anthropometric or goniometry) have been used more than dynamic ones, that is, analysis of 2D movement. The objective of the research was to determine the ideal position on the road bicycle in athletes between 25 and 45 years old from the Totus Tuss cycling club in the city of Barranquilla. The empirical-analytical method is an observation method used to deepen the study of phenomena, being able to establish general laws based on the connection that exists between cause and effect in a given context. The research study proposes a quantitative approach, taking into account that its methodology is based on carrying out a statistical analysis of the information acquired through a survey, allowing the development of a statistical count and the graphing of the results from each of the proposed variables. (Sampieri, Fernandez, & Batista, Methodology of research., 2014) The research is pre-experimental because it is one in which the researcher tries to approach an experimental investigation but does not have sufficient means of control to allow internal validity. . The ongoing investigation shows a population of 25 cyclists from the Totus Tuus cycling club in the city of Barranquilla. The sample is equal to the population and is made up of cyclists between the ages of 25 and 45, from the Totus Tuus Club in the city of Barranquilla. We can affirm that the Bike Fitting biomechanical study is of vital importance for each cyclist, in order to determine the ideal position where the body segments are at the ideal angles, in order to avoid possible injuries, muscle pain, as well as in the joints, also by having greater comfort on the bicycle we will increase performance, improving in watts per minute, we will be able to perform routes of greater distance and intensity.
