Characterization of the teaching-learning process of the Volleyball in the Basic Secondary “XXX Anniversary of Guise Battle” (Original)

Abstract

The purpose of the work is to characterize the teaching-learning process of Volleyball in the Basic High School "XXX Anniversary of the Battle of Guisa" in Bayamo. Various methods and techniques were used in the research: analytical-synthetic, inductive-deductive, observation, measurement, document analysis, and descriptive statistics. The application of the methods allowed to know the limitations of the Physical Education Program for basic secondary education; the results of the technical tests foreighth grade students and the potential and limitations of the “XXX Aniversario de la Batalla de Guisa” school to successfully develop Physical Education and Sports for All. The refore, itis concluded by stating that the teaching-learning process of Volleyball presents inadequacies in its conception and implementation dueto various objective and subjective factors; and school children show a low level of development of frontal shooting and volley-passings kills.
