Pedagogical strategies to strengthen student learning in the educational institutions of Jipijapa (Original)

Abstract

This article deals with the study on the application of pedagogical strategies to strengthen student learning in the educational institutions of Jipijapa. The importance of the study was given by the need to optimize teaching-learning processes through active methodologies that promote participation, critical thinking and the development of essential skills in the 21st century. The main objective of the research was to analyze and identify the most effective pedagogical strategies to improve academic performance and student motivation. The methodology used was a mixed approach, combining quantitative and qualitative data obtained through surveys and interviews applied to teachers and students, a non-experimental design was used. The results showed that strategies such as project-based learning, cooperative learning and gamification significantly improve the academic performance and motivation of students. As a main conclusion, the importance of implementing innovative strategies adapted to the educational context of Jipijapa is highlighted, as well as the need to strengthen teacher training to guarantee their effective application. This study is a product of the research project entitled: Improvement of pedagogical practices in educational institutions in the southern area of ​​Manabí and the linkage project that deals with: Directed tasks and psycho-pedagogical support to strengthen student learning in the public basic education of Jipijapa, Phase II.
