Treating sociocultural contents in text comprehension by the pre-service English teacher (Review)

The article socializes the conception of a didactic strategy focused on the treatment of sociocultural contents in the teaching-learning process of text comprehension, so as to favor the development of intercultural learning in the pre-service English teacher. It makes reference to the causes that bring about insufficiencies in the work with these contents in the English language major, and emphasizes on the importance and need of studying interculturality in this career through the analysis of the context and the cultural aspects of the language that are part of the written texts.
