The appropriate communication style in the Cuban educational context benefits the interaction in any educational institution and contributes significantly to the fulfillment of its corporate purpose, to a favorable socio-psychological climate and to the well-being and personal development of all its members. The existence of conflicts generated by various causes in the interaction of those involved in the training process affects the fulfillment of the objectives set by the country's educational policy. This work aims to analyze the theoretical references that underpin the communication process, with emphasis on some requirements that the communicative performance of the education professional demands. . With an integration of theoretical methods, it was possible to compile information on the topic, dispersed in the specialized literature. The result favors the preparation of Higher Education teachers by promoting a reflective and timely pedagogical practice aimed at solving the deficiencies declared in the written memory.
