Project-based learning which historical-cultural and complex approach: contributions for professional pedagogy (Essay).
Keywords:

Project-based learning is a learning method that was born between the Middle Ages and the contemporary, in a period between the 15th and 18th centuries. On the eve of 500 years of its development, its contributions show a pedagogical notion that develops a strong theoretical-practical link in the conception of the development of two important processes: learning and projects. From the historical-cultural and complex approach, a chronology of the milestones and validity of this method in the world is made. For professional pedagogy, project-based learning is an essential methodological option in the professionalization of curricular contents under a globalizing, interdisciplinary, contextualized and meaningful orientation, related to school and professional knowledge, together with those of daily life in its links with the community and work environment in a collaborative way. To do this, project-based learning takes place in teams or work groups from a project. From this perspective, the need for a return to the method as a way of contributing to the quality of professional pedagogy, demonstrated in Cuba since the 19th century, is evident.
