Perception of teachers about the use of navigation access classifiers for academic and research activity (Original)

This article presents the results obtained from a master's thesis in Applied Computing developed at the University of Camagüey, Cuba, from September 2016 to December 2017. It addresses the shortcomings that are manifested in the academic and investigative activity in relation to the internet. Its objective is to evaluate the perception of teachers about internet navigation classifiers. To achieve this objective, a methodology with a mixed and descriptive approach was applied, through a structured questionnaire, with a Likert scale of five options, which was applied to teachers of the computer engineering career involved in academic and research activities. The results show that most teachers have a satisfactory assessment of the opportunities offered by the classifiers for the change of teaching role and its feasibility in academic and research activities, and as a support for autonomous learning, due to the fact that most of them have this perception, even when, there is an insufficient level of technological knowledge and functioning about the classifiers.
