Carnival Perspective in the Hallucination World. (Essay)
Keywords:
chronotope; reality level; carnivalization; postmodernityAbstract
The study that follows is a look at the treatment of various narrative techniques in the work of Reynaldo Arenas. In the Cuban literary environment, the scarcity of publications on this author is recognized, so that the present study, in addition to deepening the knowledge of Cuban culture, focuses its attention on the discursive analysis of the phenomenon of the carnivalization of the text. Be part of a masterpiece of the Latin American letters of literary postmodernity: Hallucination, as a sample button and fact of verification of all the elements that will be addressed here. In this sense, phenomena and literary categories such as the level of reality, the chronotope and in a macro-structure, the carnivalization of the text, are intertwined interactively to demonstrate how a divergent reality is established from that carnivalization suffered by the text. Multiple, sometimes contradictory, altered by hyperbole and satire as a presentation of the world of the unusual. The study promotes a different look at the literary analysis that is commonly carried out in the Cuban educational context.
