Perception of teachers about the computer system of management for the control of academic progress and assistance (Original)

This article presents the study of the teachers' perception of an experience in the use of the computerized management system for the control of the academic progress and the attendance of the students during the academic year 2015-2016 in four academic years of the Educational Center National Technical College "Dr. Camilo Gallegos Domínguez "from the City of Lacatunga in Ecuador. The data were collected through the answers of the teachers in a questionnaire applied to the implementation of said system where they were asked to make an assessment of it. Through a quantitative and qualitative analysis three variables were defined: utility of the system; Use of the system and incidence of the system in the management of the teaching process. The results show a favorable criterion of the teacher regarding the usefulness of the system's benefits and the impact of the management of the planning, organization and regulation of the teaching process, since they consider it very fast and reliable, allowing him to follow up on The results of the students, as well as the attitude that they take before attending to the teaching activities, favored by the amount of information that it offers. The availability and permanent access of the computerized management system makes it possible to get closer to the knowledge of the individualities of the students as well as the group, also allowing the systematic interaction between the teachers themselves, and consequently of these with the students.
