System of exercises on calculating area in plane figures for seventh grade students (Original)

The study of the phenomena that underlie the treatment of the calculation of area of plane figures has been the object of special interest in the last decades. But, despite the variety of research carried out and the number of questions raised, the complexity of its study remains latent. This article seeks to favor the calculation of area in flat figures (square, rectangle, triangle) in the educational system of basic secondary, by means of a system of varied exercises. In conclusion, the need to consider new proposals that allow treating this problem from a variety of approaches is highlighted, as well as verifying positive results in the level reached by students in the area calculation component in plane figures, which leads to corroborate the effectiveness of the proposal formulated. With the application of the proposal, relevant results were achieved in the level of knowledge of the students.
