Redesign of a mixing machine (Original)
Keywords:
mixer; food; shaft; homogeneityAbstract
The objective of this research is the redesign of a mixing machine, which is used in the food industry to humanize the work, achieving greater efficiency and quality in the food preparation process since it achieves a better homogeneity of the dough; this machine presents different irregularities in its operation such as the mass is introduced into the bearings, considerably reducing their useful life, due to not having an adequate system of retainers, difficult extraction of the shaft due to poor design of the same, deficiency in the construction of the structure as it makes it difficult to extract the mixture as it does not have a stop that allows a resting position of the moving, among others; consequently, the purpose is to improve the general operation of the mixing machine, so as to increase its productivity, to develop this purpose the necessary dimensions are taken and a study of the materials is carried out to determine the most convenient, with emphasis in rolled steel parts, after an analysis of the operating conditions to which it is subjected, it is proposed to manufacture it by means of a machining process and electric arc welding, this redesign advance its general operation and development this su productivity.
