Abstract

Education is an action that already exists in all nations that seeks to improve the quality of life, technological development without neglecting natural resources. Plants, animals, soil, water, among others, are of utmost importance and essential for human life, so it is a duty to conserve these resources, with the responsibility to protect and preserve the environment. The following work has the objective of reaffirming the epistemological foundations of the treatment of environmental problems in the teaching-learning process of Chemistry. For the same, philosophical, sociological, psychological, didactic and pedagogical foundations were taken into account. Theoretical methods such as analysis-synthesis, historical-logical, inductive-deductive, historical-descriptive and empirical methods such as document analysis and observation were applied. This research is of great importance since it is aimed at strengthening and eradicating the insufficiencies that students present on environmental problems and how to assume adequate protection, by acquiring the knowledge, habits, skills, attitudes and values that guarantee responsible behavior in their behavior.
