The beisbolito's historic review “Manuel Alarcon Reina” (Original)

Abstract

In 1949 work began on the first official installation dedicated to baseball in the Granma province. Restructured, it was given the name of Martyrs of Barbados, on December 17, 1977. Since then, the provincial headquarters and headquarters of the Los Alazanes team and on occasions it was the scene for the performance of competitions in lower categories; which did not satisfy the training needs for these ages. It was not until 1998 the construction of a baseball in the Granma province for the practice of baseball in lower categories. In research carried out by the authors, it was possible to specify the lack of a document that collects the process of the different construction stages of the baseball player Manuel Alarcón Reina. The objective of the work is: to describe the construction stages of the Manuel Alarcón Reina beisbolito's player from the Jesús Menéndez sports team, located in the Carlos Manuel de Céspedes district of the Bayamo municipality. For its preparation, the people responsible for the construction, directors of the organization, trainers, maintenance workers and residents of the place gave their testimony. With the creation of the baseball for training and competitions of the lower categories, a solution was given to the need posed by athletes, coaches and family members to practice this sport, being the scene of multiple events.
