Abstract

The use of educational technologies is a current need for the education of children from an early age to promote the development of mental and behavioral skills, which requires having the material conditions and creative teaching staff with technological skills that favor insertion. in the educational process. The present objective is to develop a comparative case study of the use of educational technologies in private and public institutions in District 13 of Cantón Quevedo, Ecuador, so that the causes of the existing digital divide in education students are revealed. basic of the public sector and those of the private sector from the educational process. The use of qualitative methods such as surveys and interviews, and descriptive statistics tools, provide the information to characterize these schools and compare both cases. Derived from the analysis and comparison carried out, a pedagogical actions system is proposed for the use of educational technologies in the sixth year of basic education schools in the public sector, with a flexible, integrative and participatory nature. The actions system is structured in four stages that promotes the awareness of public leaders, school directors, teachers, students and parents or representatives of children; the diagnosis; the projection of the inclusion of technology; the execution of said projections, and the assessment of the results.
