Social cartography, an analysis tool for community study (Original).

Abstract

     The social cartography culturally built by the people who may exist in a community applying the diagnosis to produce a work, as a process of collective construction of knowledge with the possibilities of solving social problems. Highlighting the important role of the community and all its inhabitants. The work aims to implement the methodology of social cartography that makes it possible to build comprehensive knowledge of a territory, using technical and experiential instruments for the training of the inhabitants of a venezuelan community. This tool shows the reality from the knowledge of the different historical contexts and strengthens the sense of belonging of the population in the territory, meanwhile, it reconstructs the local history of the community, reinforces its values, its identity and educates collective work since It allows information to be handled in a dynamic and visual way through mapping, helping to identify the perception of how community actors relate to the environment and the interactions that are generated with the context and territory. For this, methods such as: historical-logical, inductive-deductive, data collection, observation, interviews, surveys, among others, were used.
