Abstract

The objective of the present work is to valuate the main gnoseological and methodological aspects of a novel Course of English for Specific Purposes to develop abilities for the scientific-technique translation. The problem consists on the insufficiencies that students and professors from the University of Granma present in the acquisition of the terminological knowledge and the development of translation skills. From the practical point of view, the teaching of this course has allowed its applicability as much in the undergraduate as in the postgraduate. Through its application it showed to be effective, since it contributed to the formation of a professional with the necessary requests for his academic, labor, scientific and social performance, as a consequence of the vertiginous peak reached by the English language and considering the great volume of information and bibliographic material published in that language.
