Abstract

The fact that the students enroll in service course at Yara Municipality University Center, most of the them show lack of knowledge and linguistic skills, it required particularizing the treatment to the contents of the Basic Spanish subject in order to fulfill the instructional objectives of the program. This adaptation extremely limited the possibility of working in depth with the contents, as it was essential to ensure that they were properly assimilated first at a reproductive level. As a result, the text writing component was the most affected, evidenced by the fact that, at the end of the period, the problem was revealed that the preparation of students for writing texts was insufficient. Hence, undertaking a study whose objective was to propose activities that would increase the preparation for writing expository texts. For the accomplishment of this investigation, 13 students from the first year of the Agronomy major of the 2018-2019 academic year were sampled. The importance of the study lies in the fact that it is shown that, in the conditions mentioned, it is possible to carry out the proposed activities and thereby achieve a substantial increase in the preparation of students for writing texts.
