Correction and compensation of specific problems of reading and writing apprenticeship (Original)

Abstract

The following investigation is directed to give answer to the corrective and compensatory treatment of the specific difficulties of the learning of reading and writing (dyslexia and dysgraphia) in students of normal intellect. It was motivated by the interest of raising the quality of the teaching-learning process of the Spanish Language. Its objective is: to develop activities to help correct and compensate for dyslexia and dysgraphia in them. The population is composed by 20 schoolchildren; from this population, a sample of 5 schoolchildren was taken, as these children presented difficulties of dyslexia and dysgraphia. Any alteration that is present in the internal conditions of each one, in terms of its neurobiological and psychological structure, without affecting its cognitive integrity, as well as interferences in its environmental reality: family, social and community, can cause difficulties in its process of learning. Correct and compensate in time these difficulties allow a successful development of the complex process of acquisition of reading and writing. Hence, the importance that the authors give to this investigation.
