Language learning has been a common challenge for many students. The research was conducted at the Instituto Superior Yasuní, with the objective of evaluating the impact of a chatbot and the virtual environment on English language learning in native Amazonian students enrolled in Distance Education. A non-experimental quantitative approach was used to analyze variables such as points obtained, words learned, learning time and lessons completed; the sample consisted of 26 students. The results showed a wide variability in points earned (41 to 1597) and learning time (290 to 904 minutes), as well as in lessons completed (33 to 89) and words learned (251 to 764); however, the variables correlated strongly with each other. The results suggest that chatbots are useful tools in innovative educational settings, especially in remote areas where access to traditional educational resources is limited. It was concluded that chatbots are effective in distance education, as they enhance interaction and learning according to individual needs and geographical context.
