Management of the Environmental Strategy at Bartolomé Masó's Directorate of Territorial Planning and Urbanism (Original)

Abstract

The research was carried out in the Municipal Directorate of Territorial Planning and Urbanism, located in Bartolomé Masó municipality, Granma province. By carrying out a sociocultural diagnosis, different inadequacies that affect the fulfillment of the institution's mission were identified. Taking into account the problems detected, the objective of the article was to design a sociocultural project to manage the environmental strategy, in order to achieve an adequate planning and fulfillment of the institution's mission. In order to obtain the results, the research was systematized through theoretical (analytical-synthetic and inductive-deductive) and empirical methods (scientific observation, documentary analysis, survey and interview). The main result achieved lies in the design of a sociocultural management project to achieve an adequate knowledge of the bases of environmental management and the appropriate realization of an environmental diagnosis, in order to favor a correct planning and management of the Environmental Strategy in the entity.
