Abstract

The territorial dimension takes on a new dimension in the management of development, with a combination of management from below and management from above, in which the latter plays a role of regulator of the global behavior of the economy; To regulate the exogenous flows of financing that settle in the territories, providing the conditions for the endogenous manifestations to take place in the fullest possible way, exploited and reinforcing the development potential of the territories. In the Cuban municipalities, the implementation and development of local initiatives aim to achieve an active participation of the Municipal Governments in their development strategy, through the management of economic projects capable of self-financing, generating income that allows the effective substitution of imports, especially food and To obtain profits that are destined to local benefit, as a complement of the productive strategies of the country. One of the ways in which the social development of the territory and its community can be achieved is through community-based socio-cultural work carried out with the implementation of socio-cultural transformation projects, considered as proposals for solutions to situations that exist in the reality; Having positive results for the development of this dimension.
