System of scientific-research actions for the student scientific reserve of the Medical career (Original)

Recent years have been characterized by profound social, economic, technological and scientific transformations, offering a new value to knowledge. Faced with the challenges of current public health, medical students fail to develop, consciously and logically, a scientific-research culture. The objective of the article is to evaluate the application of a system of actions for the development of scientific-research culture in medical students of the Faculty of Medical Sciences of Bayamo. For this purpose, a descriptive, longitudinal and prospective research was carried out. The sample was constituted by eight directors, 57 professors and 157 students. Theoretical, empirical and statistical methods were applied. As main results, students and professors recognized the importance of the formation of a scientific-research culture, as well as the contribution of the clinical method in this process. The evaluation of the partial execution of the system of actions, demonstrated the convenience of the research by admitting the formation of a scientific-research culture congruent with the modes of professional performance in students of Medicine of the Faculty of Medical Sciences of Bayamo.
