The university extension and identity culture in the teaching formation (Original)

The project of investigation entitled Education, communication, and culture identity for development local is based on the educative perfection of pedagogical careers. Among the outcomes obtained, it highlights the process of university extension intrinsically related to cultural identity, which pictures the sociocultural context as one of main sceneries of the pedagogical process. •
The objective of this exposition is to introduce some categories, which in their interrelation, characterize the process of university extension approached from a cultural identity and its results achieved from practical reality, by means of extension´s projects in different contexts in Granma Province.
Several methods are used such as the critical revision of bibliographic sources, the systemic-structural-functional method, and the introduction in real practice of peripheral neighbourhoods in the urban center of Manzanillo city; the countryside environment of La Sierra Maestra Mountains, as well as a trip in the identity patrimony of Granma Province, inserted in the student´s curriculum.
Criteria given by users and some other people have been valuable; measured in interviews, surveys, and some other instrument.
So, we can conclude that the sociocultural context becomes in pedagogical scenery in which users may interact and exchange teacher-students functions; the pedagogical work with the identity patrimony, and the realities observed in different neighbourhoods in order to grant human betterment, as well as teaching formation and spiritual growth.
