The testimony of personalities as a source of historical knowledge (Original)

Abstract

Oral historical testimonies favor the contextualization of the history contents from the local to the national, and their learning, developing the sense of identity and belonging in the place where social interaction is carried out. Knowing the main actors in our struggle for independence and how the facts and events related by them occurred, it allows to be identify with the country's history as an essential element to strengthen in the new generations their love for the Cuban revolution, their historical knowledge about it, their values ​​and ideology. The research is the result of the history project ¨National Liberation War” and the work of the student scientific group of the first year mechanical engineering career of the Faculty of Technical Sciences. The study highlights for the potentialities that it offer as a source for the work of professors and students in the discipline of History of Cuba.
