A postgraduate activity: specialty program in the teaching of Mathematics (Review)

Abstract

At the present time in the direction of the teaching-learning process of Mathematics, it is un avoidable and necessary the systematic updating of the teachers, in terms of the theoretical, methodological and practical treatment of the mathematical content for the formation of an adequate materialistic scientific conception of the world. The university of Granma within its postgraduate activities develops a specialization program in the teaching of Mathematics with the aim of deepening and developing the capacities and abilities of the mathematical content, in such a way that the teachers acquire a high scientific, theoretical and methodological that has a favorable impact on their professional performance and can direct the teaching-learning process in the Mathematics subject, contextualized in the different educations. The proposal of this program is feasible both for teachers graduated in the specialties of comprehensive general teacher of basic secondary and the area of exact sciences, as well as for all professionals who need a specialization in the teaching of Mathematics in their professional performance, such as this is the case of primary teachers who work in high school.
