Abstract

Child abuse is a universal problem that has existed since ancient times, however, it is in the 20th century with the declaration of the rights of the child (UN 1959), when it is considered a crime and a problem with deep psychological, social, ethical, legal and medical repercussion. The World Health Organization (WHO) declares mood and behavioral disorders, thus constituting violence as an important health problem, child abuse and its attention by educational institutions constitute a priority in the different educational levels of the Cuban education system. The increasing manifestations of child abuse from families and in the social environment in which the disciple develops and its repercussion in the school environment constitute a problem. The authors consider to approach from theory the fundamental concepts about the subject and expose some of the experiences acquired during the investigation, for this we worked with a population of 25 children from  Alfredo Marrero Núñez semi boarding school in Buey Arriba municipality, who in their ways of acting reflected reflexes of child abuse. We consider of vital  importance the researching subject considering that it is at these ages that the formation of behavioral habits in schoolchildren is completed and as a contribution to the multilateral and harmonious formation of the new man to which we aspire.
