Diagnostic physical- educational to pregnant with gestational diabetes in the physical activity community (Original)

Abstract

The present investigation began from the notable increase in pregnant women processed for the therapeutic area of Physical Culture of the Media Luna municipality in Granma province, with a diagnosis of gestational diabetes in the last ten years. The study was focused on determining the current situation of pregnant women with gestational diabetes during the 2015-2016 period, as well as the level of knowledge that Physical Culture teachers and other therapeutic facilitators have to face the process of community physical activity in the educational care for pregnant women with gestational diabetes. For this, a physical-educational diagnosis was made, which allowed evaluating three dimensions: social, psychological and physical, which confirmed theoretical-methodological limitations in the process of community physical activity for educational care of pregnant women with gestational diabetes. Therefore, an educational strategy is required that allows, based on its structure, operation and transit through stages, to organize said process.
