The Order of Dominican Preachers of Bayamo: secularization and institutional imbalance (Original)

This study addresses the implementation of the Secularization process of the Order of Preachers Dominicans in the historical context of the jurisdiction of Bayamo in 1842, highlighting the unfavorable consequences it generated for the conventual heritage, considering that its capital became the second of its kind on the Island, preceded only by the convent had legitimized an important system of relationships based on common interests that would later by affected. The scientific process of the research is grounded in Historical Science with a descriptive charter and employs theoretical methods such as Historical-Logical, which allows for contextualization and análisis of the study of the topic, as well as Analytical-Synthetic and Inductive-Deductivemethods to demostrate is particularities and the disarticulation of relationships between the Convent and Bayamo society in the first half of the 19th century.
