Life, attacked by teenagers in Ecuador... Does this behavior deserve an aggravated state response? (Review)
Abstract
Ecuador, in the last five years, as a country, has experienced an unsuspected increase in crimes, in criminality with new modalities of commission, with an increasingly high incidence of adolescents in the commission of various crimes, especially crimes against life. Which raises research interest and the approach here, as a general objective of critically reviewing the causes, consequences and strategies to be undertaken from a criminal and criminological point of view, to confront the growing criminality of adolescent offenders against life in the Ecuadorian reality. Then, applying a qualitative approach and scientific methods such as historical-logical, analytical-synthetic, exegetical and inductive, it is possible to conclude that the solution does not lie in the tightening of the socio-educational measures provided for in the Code of Children and Adolescence, but rather, in dealing as a State with combating the causes that cause more and more adolescents to be recruited by criminal groups to commit crimes, taking advantage of the high vulnerability that they present due to their age and environmental situations.
