Abstract

The documentary research project arises from two specific variables: emotional intelligence and conflict management strategies in the classroom. The research question seeks to know how intervention strategies are developed, from the professional profile of educational guidance, that mediate in a timely manner in the solution of emotional conflicts that arise in the context of the classroom, affecting the teaching process. learning. Consequently, the planned objectives are aimed at pointing out the importance of the integration of emotional intelligence in the face of conflicts in schoolchildren, locating those emotional manifestations that generate conflictive climates that also affect school performance and emotional well-being in the classroom, to promptly and appropriately propose intervention strategies that involve students, educators, parents and the educational community as part of the solution and with executable strategies in the procedure. It is strengthened with a consistent, coherent theoretical framework with logical explanation, within the role of the educational counselor. The methodology used is documentary research, strengthened by scientific-technical studies collected in texts, scientific articles, theses and reports from educational organizations; along with the process of collecting and analyzing data from a sample related to the conflict. The result is aimed at knowing, interpreting, developing and improving the processes of emotional intelligence in the eighth educational level of a planned institution. New spaces for intervention are planned, both within the institution, as well as expanding into other educational spaces.
