Diseño de guías de estudio para orientar el trabajo independiente en cursos por encuentro (Original).

Abstract

The present work in the Covid-19 environment was developed in the Ciro Redondo Municipal University Center, pertaining to the University of Ciego de Avila, aiming at designing study guides, supported by a set of virtual tools to develop students' cognitive independence in the Agro-industrial Processes Engineering and Pre-primary Education careers. The educational innovation was done in the subjects of Soil and Water Resources Management, Research Methodology, Agricultural Technological Processes II, Anatomy and Physiology of the Development I and II. The study guides design included i) student´s characterization; ii) objectives identification; iii) contents identification; and iv) support planning. The design of the study guides included learning strategies, ideas sequencing, examples resolution, learning activities, feedback and evaluation. A variety of activities with various learning strategies and combined learning mediators as Whatsapp free messaging application and videos were elaborated and implemented through the course. At the end of the period 93 % of the students passed the subjects and qualifications quality was good because more than 50 % of the students get good and excellent marks. It was concluded that the designed study guides helped to the orientation and control of the students´ independent work.
