Abstract

The degree in Sociocultural Management for Development is of recent creation, it is only 4 years old and is the result of the improvement of the Sociocultural Studies career. It is the first second-generation career in Social Sciences, it is not disciplinary such as Sociology, Philosophy, Economics, Psychology, but multidisciplinary and even transdisciplinary since it uses professionally the knowledge of all these sciences to understand and act better before social problems. The official document of the professional model does not clearly define the professional competencies, nor the functions, thus as the ethical profile of this new professional. Hence, the intention of writing this article arises from the need to indicate the competences, functions and ethical traits or profiles that a sociocultural manager for development must have in order to channel local development. Therefore, this work will serve to the career groups, as well as the link of the academic year to work with these core aspects in the process of training and development of the educational strategy in all its dimensions for the sake of achieving a graduated who possesses personal qualities, culture and professional skills that allow him to perform with social responsibility and that fosters his education for life.
