Abstract

The article addresses the importance of using the Internet and its tools in educational processes, in particular the possibilities offered by the World Wide Web for active learning, where cooperation and collaboration spaces prevail. As well as the need to implement didactic strategies mediated by these technologies of Information and Communication, for their introduction in the teaching-learning process. The mediation of these technologies in the management of knowledge fosters a metacognitive environment that contributes in this way to the integral preparation of the individual. The study is essentially descriptive empirical methods were used as documentary analysis that together with the theoretical methods of analysis-synthesis and inductive-deductive allowed the review, consultation and comparison of an abundant literature specialized in the subject treated; Which facilitated to reach visible results in terms of the epistemological foundations of the strategies, their functions and pedagogical transcendence in this technology.
