An approach to the digital culture in the society present-day Cuban. (Review)

Cuba has identified in conscious and gradual shape the need to introduce the New Information and Communication Technologies (NICTs) in the social practice and to achieve a digital culture as one of the essential characteristics of the new man, what would make easier to our society getting closer towards the objective of a sustainable development. This study tackles the background of studies and investigations of the NICTs in Cuba in different areas of the social life, and reflect in how the insertion of the digital technologies in the cultural institutions and in the society as a whole, can be seen like the emergent formation of a digital culture in the institutions, supported in an appropriation of those technologies.
