Alternative for the prevention of infectious endocarditis (Original)

Abstract

Infective endocarditis (IE) is a serious disease, with a varied clinical presentation, and like other diseases it can be prevented, so this research had the objective of implementing educational talks aimed at the prevention of EI. It was carried out in the municipality of Manzanillo, Reparto Vázquez, in the period between (january 2017- december 2017). With the realization of educational talks, 50 adult people, who make up 100% of the people investigated in the sample, had a greater perception of risk, knew the ways in which they can protect their health and therefore achieve the prevention of EI. This research is very important, because it gives great value to the prevention of this disease, from the participation as active entities of all those people who have vulnerability to suffer from EI. It is concluded that by performing preventive work with people prone to suffer infectious endocarditis is helping to raise the quality of life.
