Abstract

Companies metal mechanical using rotary punching coupled to lines complex profiles to increase production speed, because it requires less equipment and occupying less space than intermittent punching. In the present work shows that dimensional values of a system continuous punching have influence on the quality of drilling and tool life. To achieve this objective tools were used basic math and a general algorithm for equations of one variable in the location of roots, to demonstrate that in the rotary punching the punch penetrates so angular into the array, creating an angle of attack leading to limitations of life in the punch, dimensional system, poor quality drilling and weight gain, produced by the search of minimize clearance or required distance between the punch and array at the beginning of punching.
