University-Government Relationship: responsibility in the integrated management of local development (Review)

In the current Cuban context of perfecting its economic and social development model, the university-government link becomes an imperative. The management of local development as a public policy of the country has gained space from the institutional framework and has been reflected both in the Constitution and in the Guidelines of the economic and social policy, approved and endorsed in the V and VI of Party Congress, respectively. The article reflects on how the University of Informatics Sciences, through the fulfillment of its social responsibility and from its university management processes, is linked to the municipalities of La Lisa and Arroyo Naranjo to accompany them in the improvement of their strategies and municipal development programs, sharing knowledge, scientific research and innovation, which are pillars for the integrated management of local development. Previous research based on the use of empirical and theoretical methods of qualitative research is used to systematize the main results achieved by the university from 2021 to date, which have been presented in national and international scientific events and published in journals and books related to the topics addressed by this research.
